Refund Policy

WHAT ITEMS CAN I RETURN?

We get it - sometimes something just doesn't work for you and you want to return or exchange. As long as item(s) are still in their original condition, you can return these within 30 days. Please see the below for any exceptions to this rule: 

 

  • Socks can be returned if they are sealed in their original packaging.
  • Men’s swimwear or underwear can’t be returned for hygiene reasons.
  • All Bottles are non-returnable due to hygiene reasons.
  • Personalised items can't be returned
  • If an item is marked as 'Final Sale', this item is non-returnable.
  • Items must be unwashed and not put through a dryer.
  • Items covered in animal/human hair are subject to denial.
  • Items covered in glitter, powder, skin cells, or other matter are subject to denial.
  • Items with piling may be subject to denial.
  • Items with strong odors or smells like smoke, cologne, detergent, scented sprays, body odor, etc., will not be accepted.
  • Items with markings or other stains (such as deodorant) will not be accepted.
  • If you are returning your entire order, please note that the original shipping costs will not be refunded.
  • At this time, we do not cover the cost of return shipping.

* Please also note that in order to receive a full refund, all items must be returned to us unworn/unused and in the same condition you received them with their original packaging. If an item is returned to us damaged, worn or in an unsuitable condition, we won't be able to give you a refund. All items are inspected on return.

If your exchange cannot be completed due to unavailable stock or a different item is requested, a refund will be issued.

 

  • Any returns that are delivered outside of 45 days of the delivery date of your order may be subject to denial. Please contact our support team if your return is delayed unexpectedly.

WHEN WILL I GET MY REFUND?

This can depend on how long it takes your chosen returns courier to get the items back to us before being processed for a return at our warehouse.

We only offer refunds onto the original payment method used to make the order.

Refunds will be actioned as soon as possible from the date we receive your order back to our warehouse. Please note it can take up to an additional 5 days for your refund to appear in your account once processed.

If your return is denied, we will notify you via email. Your order will then be reshipped to you within 4-7 business days.

I'VE SENT A NON-BLACK HORNET ATHLETICS ITEM BACK TO YOU, WHAT DO I DO?

Anything accidentally or incorrectly returned our way (that’s not a Black Hornet Athletics item) will be the responsibility of the sender, not Black Hornet Athletics.

Be sure to check your order confirmation email! Our fulfillment time frame can be found in there. A typical timeline is 7-10 business days, but this may change depending on high volume events like Black Friday or Other Major Holidays.

Once our fulfillment team packs your order, it will be picked up by the shipping courier and you will be notified via email with your tracking number. As excited as we are for you to receive your new products, please keep in mind there may be delays during transit that are beyond our control. We suggest contacting your package's shipping courier for any delivery questions you may have.

What Are Printed Logos?
Before getting into care tips, let’s take a quick look at what printed logos involve. This method uses heat and pressure to apply detailed designs onto fabric. It’s a favorite in the customization world because it allows for vivid colors, gradients, and fine detail—far beyond what traditional screen printing can achieve.

Care Tips to Preserve Printed Logos:

  1. Drying Method:
    The safest way to dry garments with printed designs is to air dry them. Hang items on a clothesline or drying rack out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. If you use a dryer, opt for a low-heat setting and remove garments promptly to avoid overheating or curling of the design.

  2. Ironing Precautions:
    Avoid direct contact between the hot iron and the printed area. If ironing is necessary, turn the garment inside out and use a low setting. Gently press around the logo, not directly on top of it, using smooth, light strokes.

  3. Washing Instructions:
    Always turn clothing inside out before washing. This protects the design from rubbing against other items and the machine’s drum. Use cold water and a gentle cycle to help preserve both the fabric and the print.

  4. Detergent Selection:
    Choose a mild, bleach-free detergent. Harsh chemicals can cause fading or cracking in the design over time. Also, skip the fabric softener—residue from softeners can interfere with how well the print stays attached to the fabric.

  5. Fixing a Peeling Logo:
    If your logo starts to peel, you can often reapply it at home. Place a piece of parchment paper over the area and apply light pressure with a low-steam iron for about 20–30 seconds. Let the area cool completely before handling—it should look good as new.

By following these steps, you can keep your printed designs looking clean, colorful, and long-lasting. Taking a few extra moments during laundry day goes a long way in preserving the look and feel of your customized clothing—so you can wear it proudly again and again.
